What is the brokerage commission for selling a phinisi yacht?

Standard sell-side commission is 4-6% of closing price. Premium listings (USD 4M+ vessels in well-maintained condition) negotiable to 4.0-4.5%. Standard listings 4.5-5.5%. Challenging listings (older vessels, distressed conditions) 5.5-6.0%. Lower than traditional Indonesian phinisi brokerage which often charges 8-12%.

How long does it take to sell a phinisi yacht?

Average days-to-close for properly priced phinisi: 4-9 months from listing publication to closing. 2026 YTD average across 8 closings: 142 days. Faster paths possible for distressed sales (motivated seller, time pressure) but typically with 20-35% pricing discount. Premium-spec well-maintained vessels can close in 3-4 months.

What vessel preparation is needed before listing?

Pre-listing preparation typically includes: professional photography (2-day shoot, 80-150 final images), video walkthrough (3-5 minutes), specification document standardisation, optional independent surveyor pre-listing report (USD 8-18K — recommended for premium listings). Additionally we recommend addressing any obvious cosmetic deferred maintenance (caulking touch-ups, deck varnish, interior detail) to maximise listing presentation quality.

What size is your qualified buyer pool?

Approximately 280 active qualified buyers in our database as of 2026 Q1. Buyers segmented by region (Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, UK, Mediterranean, US), budget range, and acquisition timeline. Approximately 75% of our 2026 closings to date have been to cross-border buyers (non-Indonesian).

What’s the difference between Phinisi Broker, Phinisi Boat For Sale, and Buy Phinisi?

Three sister sites under Juara Holding Group serving different client preferences. Phinisi Broker primarily serves sellers seeking active multi-region brokerage with structured listing process. Phinisi Boat For Sale is general yacht brokerage representing both buyer and seller sides (traditional dual-side model). Buy Phinisi operates exclusively buyer-side — for buyers wanting structural separation from any seller-side relationship.

Can foreign owners list phinisi for sale through your brokerage?

Yes. Foreign owners (Marshall Islands flag, Cayman Islands flag, etc.) can list phinisi through our brokerage. Sales transactions to foreign or Indonesian buyers handled through standard MOA framework. Sales involving flag changes structured into deal memo with realistic timeline accommodation.

What documentation do sellers need to provide?

For listing publication: vessel build certificate or registration documents, ownership history, refit history (if applicable), recent survey report (if exists), charter book records (if operating yacht — last 24 months bookings + reviews), crew composition (if continuing), insurance documentation, classification society documentation. Missing documentation can be supplemented during listing prep but accelerates timeline if available upfront.

Do you accept yachts from outside Indonesia?

Yes, but pragmatically most listings are for vessels based in Indonesia or routinely operating in Indonesia (since cross-border vessel relocation for buyer inspection trips adds material cost and complexity). Foreign-based vessels accepted with realistic expectations on inspection-trip logistics and closing timeline.

What happens if my listed phinisi doesn’t sell within the listing period?

Standard listing agreement is 12 months exclusive. If vessel doesn’t close within 12 months: (a) extend exclusivity at renewed terms, (b) modify asking price for re-marketing, (c) terminate engagement (we provide closing summary and aggregated buyer-feedback report), (d) transfer to general-market non-exclusive listing structure. Exit at end of exclusivity period is no-fee; mid-exclusivity exit may have minor administrative costs.

Can I list multiple phinisi yachts simultaneously?

Yes. Charter operators rebalancing fleets often list 2-3 vessels simultaneously through us. Multi-vessel listings get coordinated marketing strategy (avoiding cannibalisation across listings) and (often) negotiated commission discount for fleet engagement. Maximum 5 vessels simultaneously per seller relationship to maintain marketing focus.
